There wasn't much growth, since we've had a cold snap. A few things looked kind of wilty, but for the most part everything survived. This Friday will be another interesting one, because we've had below freezing temps for 4 nights.
There had also been a lot of rain, so the water was very murky instead of clear and sparkly. It was higher, as well, which made for prettier
waterfalls. :-)

And for the first time EVER, in all the times I've been there:

He was catching fish to release them into the river. I learned that the fish take about 7 months to get big enough to be released. These fish, of course, are so trained to jump at everything thinking that it's a morsel of food that I'm sure most of them end up in a frying pan. We watched him do his work for a few minutes, and he kindly answered any questions that we had.
