When I was little, my mom discovered Maramec Springs, and took us there often. I have pictures from decades of visiting Maramec but I haven't been there since my mom died 4 years ago. The homeschool group here was looking for field trip, and I suggested Maramec. It's a little early in the year for much to be blooming/budding, but there were some trees greening up and some tiny flowers here and there. Everyone who went on the field trip really enjoyed it, and want to return. What a great feeling to share one of my beloved spots and have others enjoy it as well!
Here are a few pictures from the day:

Andrew and I decided to go back every week for 6 weeks and document the progress of spring. He's going to keep track of temperatures and rainfall. It should be a lot of fun, and we'll make a scrapbook of all the pictures.
And yes, I used my newly learned skills from the photo-editing class at Jessica Sprague. :-)
